<Alternative Lessons for Women> is a double bill with fellow collaborator Sonia Kwek, presenting alternative experiences of women and their desires. this double bill was borne out of our individual projects in our final year at ITI (Intercultural Theatre Institute) in 2017.

The double bill was first performed in Miaoli, Taiwan, for EX-Theatre’s Asia Weekend Theatre Festival in 2018. A second iteration was created for Substation’s SeptFest in 2021.

Synopsis for weiying’s piece, titled <What? That’s It?>

When death finally arrives, she realise she might have bitten off more than she could swallow. <What? That's It?> is a monologue presenting the desires and frustrations of an old woman in heat, caught between living and dying.
